Ability Name

Purse Cutting

Description of Ability

Perhaps the most simple of any techniques the brigand employs, the purse cutting involves simply that - the cutting of one's coin purse from their person. Utilizing this rather bold move, you have parted many of marks of their hard-earned coin. Allows for the attempt of a purse-cutting upon a target player, removing a portion of their currency (gold, silver and copper) from their inventory and placing it within your own. Utilizing the Purse Cutting perk will freeze your character in place next to the target for five seconds at 20% skill, four seconds at 40%, three seconds at 60%, two seconds at 80%, one second at 100%, and will not employ any movement penalty at 120% skill. Chance of success is dependent on (Brigandry Skill/1.5) + (Dex - Target Dex x 0.5) >= RandomDouble. A failure of the Purse Cutting skill will result in alerting the target of the failed attempt, with a small chance of spilling the target's coins to the ground. Nearby players will recieve a Perception Skill roll for witnessing the situation. An alert will be made to the target even on a success if they are carrying a very large amount of coins (weight of coins > 15 stones).
