More quests, NPC's and stuff to do and see

I would like to suggest doing/adding more quests, events or NPC's into the game. It has been two months since the release and not much is happening except the things players stir up, but it has been very slow and lethargic.

It wouldn't have to be anything big either. Some ideas to gather inspiration from:

* A PC cook is approached by an NPC woman seeking to order a wedding cake. Will he be able to gather and find the numerous ingredients to bake the cake in time for the wedding?
* A cult of NPC diabolists have taken refuge in the sewers (without anyone's knowledge) and have been releasing demonoidlings on the surface to harrass the villages. Will there be a brave soul to uncover the cult and uproot them? Perhaps a wicked soul would even join them?
* A drug dealing smuggler group arrived to the Fort as refugees and taken shelter in a building by the docks. Some say there are even more illegal things going on there! If the dwellers of the fort fail to uproot them in time, they might be hit with a problem! Or perhaps a cunning player would be able to use the criminals to his gain?
* A runaway foundry engineer (crazy scientist) wants to perform an experiment in the pond of the Fort, which might purify the water there (so many outcomes depending on what players do!). Will players lynch him for suggesting it? Help him in gathering whatever resources he needs? Maybe help him review his plans to make them actually work?

It would also be nice if more NPC's were added to the game world with their descriptions, schedules and even secret agendas. We have many staff players so if needed surely they could play them?

It seems that the main story and bug fixes have been an ongoing work lately, getting ready for release, but surely there's place for more smaller stories, quests, even to individual per-player basis?
