-Silas Nightsteel

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features.
-Silas Nightsteel is a slim and agile young man. He has short black hair that is usually messy and unkempt. He stands at an average height of 5'9'' and weighs around 140 pounds. His piercing blue eyes are a striking contrast to his light complexion. A small scar above his right eyebrow adds to his rugged, adventurous appearance. Despite his unassuming physical appearance, Silas carries himself with a confident demeanor, ready to take on any challenge that comes his way.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province.
-Silas Nightsteel enters the First Province with the sole intention of fighting against the evil forces that threaten the Decusian Republic. He believes that his skills with firearms can be a valuable asset to the resistance, and he is determined to use his abilities to their fullest potential. Additionally, Silas hopes to uncover any information that could aid him in his mission and perhaps discover more about Decus.

Please provide a few short paragraphs with pertinent details or notable qualities of your character’s history.
-Silas Nightsteel grew up as a street urchin in Teramer, lies against the Northwestern edge of Vitaveus. Despite his rough upbringing, he always held onto a sense of morality and honor, and was fascinated by the tales of Decus and the sacrifices he made for humanity. However, he lacked the physical prowess to be a skilled fighter, and couldn't join the fight against the evil threatening the land.

Determined to find a way to contribute to the cause, he became fascinated with the engineers crafting firearms. He spent every spare moment observing and studying the engineers crafting firearms, trying to understand the mechanisms of the weapons. With his sharp mind, he was able to grasp the principles of firearm engineering and use them to his advantage. Now armed with his trusty gun, Silas Nightsteel set out on a mission to serve Decus, doing whatever it takes to stop the evil in its tracks.

With his newfound skills and determination, Silas Nightsteel could become a valuable asset to the resistance against the evil forces threatening the land.

Please write a few short paragraphs of an in-character response to the following scenario.
-As Silas approaches the outpost gates, he overhears two gruff-looking men arguing in hushed tones nearby.

"I'm telling you, we need to find a way in there. The First Province is where we'll find the cure," one of them insists.

His companion scoffs. "You're crazy. The Legion and the Church have that place on lockdown. We'll never get past them."

He can't help but feel a twinge of curiosity at their conversation. Could there really be a cure for the Torment within the fallen First Province? As Silas ponders this, the officiant at the gate interrupts your thoughts.

"State your business and make it quick, citizen," he barks. "We've got enough bodies in there to keep us busy for years without adding yours to the pile."

Silas approaches the officiant with a calm and collected demeanor, handing over his papers without a word. The officiant begins to scrutinize the papers, taking his time to read through them carefully. Silas stands patiently, his eyes scanning the area around him.

After what seems like an eternity, the officiant finally nods his approval and hands the papers back to Silas. "You may enter," he says gruffly. Silas nods in acknowledgement and strides through the gate, his mind already focused on the tasks that lie ahead in the First Province.
