Research bug- cooking- venison/ribs

It seems I encountered a research bug while cooking I was getting the same percentage 4x in a row followed by no infusion gains for 3-5x in a row then I had to "restart" my research in order to get the gains going again. It seemed very strange and I feel like it might be a bug. When I made exceptional I did not receive infusion gains for 4x in a row either.
