Thorn

Do you have any prior experience with Requiem? If so, please detail when (and what characters, if desired) you previously played: Yes, I played in Act III, and recently in Act V as Lucian Valente.

Briefly summarize your prior role-playing experience in a sentence or two: I started roleplaying on AOL's RP Communities within Rhydin and MMaL in 1998, and have RP'd in various places ever since.

Why do you wish to play on Requiem, and what do you expect from the shard? I am looking forward to enjoying some RP in the Requiem setting.

What will your character’s name be? Samuel "Thorn" Blackwood

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

+ Age: Late Thirties
+ Height: Approximately 6'1"
+ Weight: 220lbs
+ Eyes: Ashen
+ Hair: Iron
+ Skin: Fair
+ Handedness: Right
+ Posture: Studious, and vigilant

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

Thorn has spent the last decade traveling across Vitaveus, fueled by a desire that only seemed to be satisfied whilst he was on the road. Inspired by the stories shared over campfires, and the confidence to sing songs od old found at the bottom of a frothy ale, Thorn never really wanted anything more. That was until the news of Tor's fall had reached him in Raven's Bridge, it was the only first crack in the facade of the Republic's strength, but he knew well that it would not be the last. Curiosity and intrigue turned to panic, and Thorn found himself making due haste for familiar territory, where hopefully, his family's home still stood.

Briefly provide a pertinent detail or notable quality of your character’s history (this does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret):

As a historian, avid explorer and adventurer, Thorn has spent much of his life traveling, seeking out places lost to the chaotic forces of entropy. Infact, if you ask, the Torian might indicate that he has been on the road for so long that he has no recollection of home. It is for this reason that Samuel had been absent during the civil unrest, and the eventual fall of Tor - traveling as far as Roenhelm’s Valley before news of Tor reached him.

Briefly write an in-character response to the following scenario:

Thorn, a man who looked every part the traveler, stepped in line to speak with the Officiant. The papers establishing him as a citizen of the Eastern Baronies was presented, accompanying the various seals of Republic officials across the midlands. The visa told a story of a man who had traveled far and wide, at times employed by the Republic as an author and scholar of history and theology. Of course, he had no money to bribe the official, but what he did have was connections -- and, sometimes knowing someone with the right authority in the right position could grease the wheels. As his turn came for the record, a man stepped up to the seneschal's desk and whispered something into the Officiant's ear which earned Thorn a dubious glance, followed by a quick stamp. It was just one more mark on his journey across Vitaveus.

Congratulations, adventurer. Your application is...

Approved.

Please ensure that your character name is spelled correctly upon exiting the Songmaker's chambers. A GM will approve your character at their earliest convenience.

Welcome to Requiem!
