Howard Zinsk

Briefly state your character’s intentions for entering the First Province :
Howard Zinsk is passionated about discovering more about the Resolve, his whole life was shaped by an encounter with the group when he was a little boy. He believes the Resolve had taken Tor to themselves, so Howard decided to make his way to the city and pledge his allegiance to his saviors.
Briefly provide the pertinent details of your character’s history :
Howard was born in the midlands, his father Albert was a very wealthy trader in the city of Allamarone, where the Resolve first showed the Republic how powerful they were. As the only child of the Zinsk family, Howard was expected to eventually assume the family business, but the boy had a fragile health, and many Doctors gave the same prognostic that the boy wouldn’t live past 18. When Howard was 5 years old everything started to change, the Torment was ravaging the countryside of the midlands, and many people in Allamarone started to move westward seeking safety at the heart of the Republic, but with sudden appearance of the Resolve and their magical powers that could even contain the dark plague, Howard’s father decided to stay in the city and wait to see these miracle makers with his own eyes, he wanted them to heal his only son so he made his family wait in Allamarone. It wasn’t long till the resolve arrived at the city, and prompted Albert to take the boy Howard to their presence. At the center of the city there was a huge gathering of people, and at its center were 13 individual, everybody gave the 13 space, and only would come near them with their permission. Albert, his wife and the boy Howard approached a line of people been brought to be healed by the miracle makers, eventually it was little Howard’s turn to face the robed foreigner, the young boy walked alone to the strange figure and stayed there trembling with his fragile composition shaking under his fine clothes, the boy was too afraid to look up and meet the eyes of the stranger, but a warm hand touched his face, and he heard a sweet voice saying: - Don’t worry little one, you will live a long life. After that Howard felt a surge of power flowing through his small body, and suddenly all the pain in his chest was gone, he felt a strength and vitality that he had never experienced before in his short life. The boy returned to his parents and they all hugged and shed tears of joy! Albert and his wife Silvia were so impressed by these powerful saviors, that they pledge eternal service and loyalty to the Collective. In the same day, the Templar Chapter tried to attack the 13 and were completely obliterated, reinforcing the devotion of the Zinsk family to the Collective. The 13 were about to go west, and Albert and Silvia were called to go along, but that meant that they would have to leave Howard behind, since the journey would be too hard for a young boy. Albert left Howard with his brother George, and promised the boy that he would return to take him, but in 1313 the Resolve and their followers disappeared, and Howard never saw his parents again.
The boy grew into a strong man, he received the best education that money could buy. He was never sick again in his life after that miraculous day, and even the passing of time didn’t seem to have the same effect on him as it had on others, when Howard was 55 but he looked 35. After the death of his uncle, Howard assumed the family business, but he also spent a considerable amount of time gathering all obscure knowledge about magic he could find, he knew that only learning the mysteries and secrets of magic, he would ever see his parents again.
After Tor fell to the Torment, Howard knew that if he could make to the old capital he would find The Resolve again, as a member of Foundry he helped the push for reclaiming the old Capital. When he felt ready, he made his way to the rumbling pass…

You have finally arrived at your destination; the Rumbling Pass checkpoint. Before you stands a massive outpost, looking to have been erected only recently, of which is patrolled by numerous Legionnaires and Church Templar. The outpost guards the only viable entrance to the recently quarantined First Province; the home of Tor, the fallen capital of the Republic. Sitting at the foot of the massive mountain line that effectively contains the First Province within, the outpost serves as the last obstacle you must overcome before gaining entry into the quarantined territory. You and others like you assemble outside of the palisades of the outpost, awaiting the opportunity to speak your case to the presiding Legion officiant who is processing admittance to the Province.
You watch as but a scant few of the dozens that approach the officiant, whom stands at the outer gates of the outpost flanked by a few heavily armored Legionnaires, are actually allowed to pass through the man-door and into the outpost. You see some slip pieces of gold to the officiant, while others plead their cases and rationale as to why they should be allowed to enter the recently fallen territory. Some appear to provide some sort of paperwork to the officiant, whom promptly waves them through. While eavesdropping, you manage to overhear the well-rehearsed speech the officiant provides to those whom don’t provide paperwork or grease his palm.
Howard makes his way to the Officiant and shows him a parchment with a Foundry symbol on it(Clearly an official Foundry Visa), the officiant looks at the visa, and then back at the richly dressed individual in front of him, and stamps the parchment, he then signal to the guards to allow him through. That was it, soon Howard would find his beloved saviors…
