Description of Skill
Skill value in Perception determines how well your character is able to perceive threats and objects of interest that other characters may not. Perception skill is used passively in many different formulas for saving rolls and for bonuses to certain weapon skills, such as Throwing, and for use in detecting snooping attempts. Perception is used actively by using the [detect and [reveal commands, of which can be augmented through skill perks to detect traps, hidden items, treasure chests and more. When used actively, skill value in Perception is used as a check vs. a hidden character's Hiding skill, or in the case of traps, vs. their Subterfuge skill. Equipping a lightsource such as a lantern or torch will provide a +25% bonus to Reveal and Perception rolls vs. hidden players.
Animus Costs
This skill can be raised 1% at a time for a cost of 2 Animus. A total investment of 200 Animus points will raise this skill to a 100% skill value.
