Matteo approached Saul's stall, rubbing his wet forehead with a damp cloth.

- Howdy, Saul, ya been doin' a'ight?
- 'Ello, Ponz. Yes, a bit of this and that - he replied, fanning himself with his hat yet smiling nonetheless.
- I'm movin' outta ma shop and got some timber ta sell, can ya tell yer boss?
- Really? Sure thing, how much are we talking about here?
- Dunno, lost count weeks ago. Can tell ya tha pile's this tall though - he nodded, holding a flat palm close to his belly.
- Alright, will pass it along.
- 'Ppreciate it, bud. 'ave a good one!

They cast each other a brief wave and Matteo resumed his stroll out of the KM&A stall, back into the unusual heat they were having the last few days.
