Do you have any prior experience with Requiem? If so, please detail when and what characters you previously played : Yes, Gaius Bralthar, Arn Fredrik, Klaus Evrardin, Oliver Drake and others.

Briefly summarize your prior role-playing experience:

Years playing classic RPG, and UO RP

Why do you wish to play on Requiem, and what do you expect from the shard?
I like the lore, the staff and the players.

What will your character’s name be? :
William Marshal

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and notable features:

A man with 6" feet tall, with a strong physical build. This man is very beautiful, to such an extent that most people can't avoid staring at him. His skin is fair and devoid of scars or blemishes, and he posses long red hair with a well trimmed full beard. His Eyes are of a light tone of green, like jade.

Briefly state your character’s intentions for entering the First Province:
William was born in Tor to a rich Parish, his future was suppose to be as bright as the gold that adorned his cradle, but fate wouldn't have it to be this way. When William was 5 years old, his magic power manifested injuring a servant, causing his bright future to end. His father Uther Marshal would not allow any "taint" in the holy legacy of their parish, and quickly moved to arrange witness to the unfaithfulness of his wife Emilia Marshal, making it clear that the tainted child wasn't his. Soon mother and child were send away from the Masion and the lives they once knew. Even though the Marshal family cut all public ties with young William, his father still made sure he and his mother had enough money and means to take care of themselves. William was eventually approached by the Consortium and inducted into the faction, where his natural magical abilities and hunger for knowledge made him a natural fit. William spent years head first in his studies and research which often took him away from Tor, even when the Republic abandoned the old capital to the rebellion he still remained in the province. He was working in one of the many towers of the Consortium on the other side of the province when he heard news of the outbreak in the Tor. He wanted to rush back to the city and find his mother, but he knew he was too late. He spent the next 7 years looking for a cure for the Torment, but he needed more data, and there was only one place to find it was Tor.

You have finally arrived at your destination; the Rumbling Pass checkpoint. Before you stands a massive outpost, looking to have been erected only recently, of which is patrolled by numerous Legionnaires and Church Templar. The outpost guards the only viable entrance to the recently quarantined First Province; the home of Tor, the fallen capital of the Republic. Sitting at the foot of the massive mountain line that effectively contains the First Province within, the outpost serves as the last obstacle you must overcome before gaining entry into the quarantined territory. You and others like you assemble outside of the palisades of the outpost, awaiting the opportunity to speak your case to the presiding Legion officiant who is processing admittance to the Province.
You watch as but a scant few of the dozens that approach the officiant, whom stands at the outer gates of the outpost flanked by a few heavily armored Legionnaires, are actually allowed to pass through the man-door and into the outpost. You see some slip pieces of gold to the officiant, while others plead their cases and rationale as to why they should be allowed to enter the recently fallen territory. Some appear to provide some sort of paperwork to the officiant, whom promptly waves them through. While eavesdropping, you manage to overhear the well-rehearsed speech the officiant provides to those whom don’t provide paperwork or grease his palm.

WIlliam gets in line, he wasn't suppose to return to the province. Nobody in Redholme even knew where he was, but without an Archmage to reign in the chaos that took over his faction he doubted the Consortium would notice his absence, even more if he disappeared inside a quarantine zone. He got the necessary papers to enter the area, through an old friend in Redholme. His turn comes and he presents his official papers to the officiant. His writ with the seal of the Holy Church and a special visa to enter the province. The tired legionary looks at his papers and quickly give it back to him waving him forward. The first part was easy, not it comes the real challenge... To survive.

Congratulations, adventurer! Your application is...

Approved!

Please ensure that your character name is spelled correctly upon exiting the Songmaker's chambers. A GM will approve your character at their earliest convenience.

Welcome to Requiem!

A little note: An Archmage was actually appointed not too long ago! Think we may need to update the lore page. Check out the Republic Sentinel Newspaper at the bottom of the Library for more details once you get IG!
