Ludwig Van Afton Application

Post by Lans » February 26th, 2021, 2:36 am

Do you have any prior experience with Requiem? If so, please detail when (and what characters, if desired) you previously played:

Yes, I played as Lans, Koss, Decus (Not the angel), and some drunk from long ago

Briefly summarize your prior role-playing experience in a sentence or two:

Decades of UO server RP and plenty of tabletop RP experience

Why do you wish to play on Requiem, and what do you expect from the shard?

I love requiem.

What will your character’s name be?:

Mangus Dux Ludwig Van Afton

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

51, 5'8'' 190lbs. the prelacy member 'Dux' Afton has a well kempt physique and trimmed well tended hair as well as a beard and curled moustache of inspiring quality the sort that curls ever slightly bringing a smirk to even the most dour of personalities.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

Magnus Dux Afton received letters over the years from a guardsman that had been relocated from being in service to himself and the plight of the First Province moved him inspiring him to bringing his insightful guidance from Redholme where his cabinet of aids can maintain order 'well enough' without him to the First Province and restore the order and influence of the Prelacy firmly to the lands; winning him more influence and support back in the more notable regions of the world.

Briefly provide a pertinent detail or notable quality of your character’s history (this does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret):

'Dux' Afton is from the well established Afton line of clergymen that maintained great influence and power within the prelacy and has a long family history of loyal and often times 'drastic' and bold service to the Republic and its' structure; and Dux Afton fully intended for the First Province to be another positive mark upon the long standing history of the Afton Families' service.

Briefly write an in-character response to the following scenario:

Dux Afton had arrived in a 'convincingly' enough drab waist coat and simple cap, standing amidst the many refugees in unassuming enough appearance, though his astonishing moustache would still easily stand out as it always did, even catching the eye and a giggle of a youth amidst the crowds. But Dux Afton remained silent and composed knowing full well the power of silence and patience. His eyes skimming over the crowds to consider any people of particular worth and note that could be pivotal in establishing strong improvements to the lands as he had heard rumors and intelligence already regarding the state of the First Province.

Dux Afton presents a letter with a seal upon it to the Officiant, that would well detail the intentions of the council within Redholmes' willingness to establish a foothold and Order within the First Province, giving a polite and confident smile that only prelacy members would tend to hold, giving a crisp smile as he was gestured through to the train; truly a marvel of the good engineers of the Republics' insights before climbing aboard and beginning to look through some papers he had detailing the situation to read during the long journey.

Congratulations, adventurer! Your application is...

Approved!

Please ensure that your character name is spelled correctly upon exiting the Songmaker's chambers. A GM will approve your character at their earliest convenience.

Welcome to Requiem!

Something was off about that man, the Officiant thought. About the way he held himself. A certain unspoken -expectation- that left a lingering curiosity long after he had departed. The officiant moved to touch the hair that sparsely resided above his upper lip.

No, not curiosity. Inadequacy.
