Dominic de Ravin


Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

Dominic de Ravin is an attractive man of eighteen years of age with middle parted vibrant red hair. His eyes are an emerald color and he stands at 5’9” tall with a young and fit frame(160lbs) and fair skin. A spattering of light freckles across the bridge of his nose accentuates his youthful demeanor. He exudes a wild and rowdy presence. Loud and over confident He tends to be a troublemaker, normally too loud and always has a stupid grin.


Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

Dominic is entering the First Province along with his siblings to act as protection for Nicolien. While he is doing his best to remain stoic and follow Nico's orders he is secretly excited to enter the First Province, to see everything going on for himself.


Briefly provide a pertinent detail or notable quality of your character’s history (this does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret):

Born a son, and the youngest, within the de Ravin home Dominic has had the pleasure of invisibility two fold. The effect this has had on Dominic has led him to act in extremes in an attempt to be at best acknowledged, or at worst, noticed. While he's avoided the harsher punishments after witnessing Laurent's "talkings to", Dominic walks as close to the line as he can get away with.


Briefly write an in-character response to the following scenario:

Dominic sipped the little bottle of gin hidden up his sleeve as the travelers came to a halt. He could see Nico at the front of the line, explaining their situation to the guard.

“Fuuuck,” he sighed quietly.

Up in front of him, toward the middle of their caravan he could see a red head, bobbing this way and that and he snickered. His older sister must be just as bored and eager as he was, but much worse at hiding it.

His hand rested on the horn of his saddle. What adventures would await him? He was so eager to meet the world, fight and see what was ahead of him. He thought about how lucky he was to be born a son. The de Ravin family was odd in the way girls were given more value than the boys. That was fine with Dominic, as He enjoyed the freedom being forgotten brought,

He craned his neck to look back at his older brother and offered a cheesy grin. The older man shook his head, a warning, but Dominic just shrugged in return.

The convoy moved forward slowly, Nicolien having garnered their entrance .

Dominic offered the officiant a dip of his head as he handed over his papers.

The officiant reviews the papers, taking his time as you stand and wait. "Whole family, eh?" He says, his eyes not leaving the documents. "Makes one wonder why folk of such note would give themselves so willingly to the maw." He continues idly before handing you the papers back. "You look a bit young, lad. You any idea what awaits you in there?"

The officiant reviews the papers, taking his time as you stand and wait. "Whole family, eh?" He says, his eyes not leaving the documents. “Just the ugly ones” He chuckles a bit, turning his eyes to the officiant. "Makes one wonder why folk of such note would give themselves so willingly to the maw." He continues idly before handing you the papers back. "You look a bit young, lad. You any idea what awaits you in there?" , “Youngest of the family, but that comes with the freedom to expect adventure , drink, and battle here, but i’ll probably end up finding my death” He grins a bit before dipping his head to the officiant again and moving forward.

"That you will, lad." The officiant responds, offering you a grim smile as you depart. The officiant did hope his words lacked the truth he knew they held. Never a pleasant sight, the young ones after they go. Something about the blankness in the eye, the limpness in their expression contrasting with the vibrance of youth. It made him shudder every time he saw it. And he saw it often.
