SUMMER RECAP & SEASON START

For those of you just joining us, or looking to hop back in for the fall, I wanted to do a brief rundown of all the major changes, events, and content additions this summer to check out while the season ramps up.

Here's a brief recap of what's been happening over the summer:

CRAFTING CHANGES:

Some crafts have been streamlined to be less tedious - with taking out steps and adding more customization to our “cosmetic” items like paintings and our new agriculture system brewing. Specialization via world lore allows you to specialize in one craft, memorizing recipes with use, and providing the additional masterwork bonuses from World Lore. This is to help provide RP identity with each craft. To learn more, visit our write up on the crafting update here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3007

MAGIC REBALANCE:

We’ve reworked the backend of the base magic formula to be working properly and trimmed back redundant spells to streamline balance. Now, each school has their own identity with unique aesthetic, and abilities with each reaching previous DPS outputs by weaving spells together in rotations and mana management. To learn more about these changes visit our post here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1602&start=40#:~:text=MAGIC

NEW ROLEPLAY TOOLS and COMMANDS:

[LookForRP and [FreeForRP allow you to help find each other in game to engage. We currently post this on our discord so you can see who’s out there looking to play with you! (NOTE: The IG_Annoucements channel is promoting people using this feature, and does not reflect how many people are in game.)

The [Flip command has been added to many items, allowing for quick changes to direction and art styles.

Legacy store now has the description deed, which will allow you to add a description to any item regardless of craft or quality.

We'll be continuing to refine, bug fix, and add to these systems, keep an eye on patch notes as we go for more updates on that!

This summer, the Ratmen hidden deep beneath Fort Praesidium surfaced to abduct the Fort’s most famous chef, Viola Wandren, whom they like to call "Cook-Cook"! Without Refugee intervention, she would’ve still be down there forced to make them soup to this day. This is a mid-tier dungeon is located below the Fort, recommended for those who want to take advantage of the Ratmen’s love of “shiny” objects.

Thanks to the refugees, a dark plot was thwarted from the frontiers neo-pagans, and now regular pruning back of this growth is necessary to ensure the safety of the Province! WARNING: This world boss is -hard-, and can be done bi-weekly. We strongly recommend to take it on with a group, defeating it will allot each player a hefty sum of animus and Infused Particulate!

In a turn of events, the neo-pagans and refugees had to band together to prevent the cannibals false-god from ripping a whole into reality. They lick their wounds in their cavern hideout, but for how long? Best to pop in from time to time to make sure they're not venturing too close to the Fort again. Due to all the human remains, there's bound to be some treasures in it to the adventurers that do...

An influx of funding from Redholme and the Foundry have brought renovations to the long established museum located in Old Town! The building now offers interactive exhibits and literature to provide refugees more information about the world of Requiem and it’s rich history both within the First Province and Beyond. These exhibits feature many brand new art items, paintings, statues, and display cases made in house by our asset artist and purchased assets.

The Museum Archives in the basement level provide a wealth of knowledge about the world of requiem. These text include both new writings, as well as text dating as far back as Act II - writings from over a decade ago from players and staff from previous acts. Maybe you'll recognize something you wrote on a dead character? Be sure to check back often as the museum curators continue to update these shelves.

Currently, the limited time exhibit is about Aiwella Monastery, be sure to check it out before it’s gone!

WARNING: The Darkest Hour
Refugees managed to thwart the undead Archbishop Karl Anslem and his band of cultist from expanding his reach past the old Aiwella Monastery. During his attempts, things began to bump much harder in the night... The refugees managed to beat back the cultist for now, but the Darkest Hour is less dangerous, but still more dangerous than it has been in recent memory. Be sure to stick to the main roads at night!

And here ends the recap. But this week we've been dropping a bit more:

To kick off the season, expect a Republic Sentinel drop this weekend with some exposition and flavor to provide insights into the world beyond the Province (sold via the newsies who also sling the Frontier Herald. We also recommend you pick up the most recent Frontier Herald while you’re at it, to see what everyone’s been up to, as well as some hints for what's to come.

NEW LORE:
Redholme is now available on the Hall of Wisdom. Come learn about the Republic’s Capital Here: https://www.13thrones.com/wordpress/ind ... /redholme/

Wait, the General Store sells stuff now??

That’s right, the FUTURE is here. And it's Lit - BEHOLD THE GENIUS OF THE FOUNDRY: HANDLESS LANTERN TECHNOLOGY!
