If Darkness Debuff lowers your stat (for example: strength) that has a minimal required value for using an item (for example: wearing a weapon or armor piece) below that level, you're unable to wear that item.
In practice: when your base STR is at minimal value to carry a chainmail, you'll become naked immediately after the sun goes down, which is not only inconvenient, but absurd.
Suggestion: let the stat check take a base value of an item (eventually - bonuses from potions/jewelry), but let it ignore the darkness debuff.
"Sir, I cannot put that armor when it's dark. I'm scared."

Re: Stat requirements and Darkness Debuff
I would add: if debuffs won't affect attribute pre-requisites for equipping stuff, it seem fair that buffs wouldn't either.
Re: Stat requirements and Darkness Debuff
This isn't a bug.
