Launch of Requiem: Act V


Thank you, everyone, for your patience and commitment to our humble project known as Requiem. As we embark on our latest Act of Requiem I would like to take a moment and share with you all the roadmap for the next few weeks before we formally get everyone in-game and ready to start dying!

From now, 11/13/18 until the beginning of December, we will be operating under a “Prelude” portion of the story. This means that our lore, main story postings, and other pertinent in-game concepts will be slowly rolled out over the next two weeks until things officially kick off the first week of December. This Prelude portion of the story is being introduced for numerous reasons, but primarily, we have a very large, ambitious launch to account for – so many new features, systems and additions quantifies the things we need to keep track of, and we’ve a lot to keep our eye on.

During the prelude portion of launch, our development team will be focusing on the following:

- Assuring that the default spawns are working as intended, and that intractable content in the game world is functioning as intended.
- Assuring that major bugs and issues are found and dealt with as quickly as possible, with as little data loss and rollbacks as possible.
- Making sure all players are able to get in-game, and that returning players are compensated their prior Animus totals.
- Slowly, on a rolling basis, implementing additional spawns, points of interests, vendors and other in-game content – many spawns have been curtailed or disabled during Prelude in so that we can focus on a more intimate area of concentration for our efforts.
- Slowly, on a rolling basis, releasing the Prelude portions of the Act V Storyline, and getting everyone up to date as to what’s going on in the FP.


Requiem Act V is a very ambitious project. Please bear with us during this launch month. There will be bugs. There will be crashes. There will be issues and probably a little bit of frustration. We have spent a very long amount of time adding content, polishing it and testing it, however nothing can compare to a live production environment. Because of these reasons, our staff will be taking full advantage of the Prelude portion of release to regain our bearings and assure that our launch content is working properly and well before we saunter forth into the horizon.

On behalf of the entire staff of Requiem, we would like to thank each and every one of our players out there that make this place such a special community. It’s you guys that comprise the spirit of Requiem and breathe life into our project. Thank you for your faith and patience.
