A Territorial Announcement

Post by Controll » March 24th, 2021, 7:43 pm

*Neatly penned letters have been sent to each of the known faction leaders. A large poster that seems to be an announcement carrying the same wordings has been brought to Fort Praesidium. Together with the letters and the poster a sketch of a map has been provided.*
A Territorial Announcement

The Black Wolves have succesfully established the settlement of Pyreholme north of Briar's Hollow. The Vigil's sacred operation to purge the Fallen Frontier will soon enter its second phase in order to cleanse the land of Afflicted, Apostates, Cannibals and other dangers so that a true Decusian safe harbour dedicated to the Archangel may be established.

This operation will require many resources, and for that reason the Black Wolves claim an area that stretches north of Briar's Hollow to the Vault, and from the Plantation's broken bridge east to the cannibal camps as Vigil Territory. The natural resources on this territory will be used by the Vigil's labourers to further the operation. Pyreholme's central location at the middle of Vigil Territory makes the area best utilized and protected by the Black Wolves. Shortcomings of the so called "Tribunal" in Fort Praesidium have also shown a clear demand for local control in the Fallen Frontier.

Non-Republic factions establishing labour camps to drain the scarce resources of Vigil Territory will be viewed as either hostile intent or an attempt to sabotage the area's reclamation from dark forces. Private citizens may still freely move, settle and work in the territory under the protection of the Black Wolves. The Wolves will also seek to protect the refugee camp in our territory, as well as any other Faithful moving there.

While other factions sought safety by settling in a cluster around Fort Praesidium we went forwards. We fought the Tormented. We fought the Apostates. We fought starving Wildlife. We nearly died, but our Flame did not dwindle - and that is how Pyreholme came to be. It was our unshaken Faith that brought it to life, and soon that life will spread to the entire area around it. That is why we will not allow others to ride out after cowering in safety only to exploit the areas we sufffered to secure - those resources will be used to once again reclaim the land they came from.

Praise to Decus!
