A Tale of a Grand Victory

Post by Controll » April 7th, 2021, 10:25 pm

*A notice has been placed to the town message board of Pyreholme and another one to Fort Praesidium.*
Rejoice in the name of Decus!

... for a Grand Victory against the Scions of the Thirteenth Archangel has been bestowed upon us!

A terrible storm, clearly one of the unnatural sort, ravaged the First Province earlier. Eyewitnesses in Fort Praesidium made note of lightning centering atop two locations; the abandoned Consortium Towers both South-East and North of the Fort. These brave civilians led us to the nearest Tower, and surrounding it like wasps around their nest were strange Witchkin dressed in bright gold and blue, holding conjured weapons and gilded masks with Dae-like horns planted in them.

The Apostates attacked as soon as their Witch Coven was discovered. Initially the Faithful were forced to flee, however news of the discovery were taken to Fort Praesidium - and like Decus had been calling them to arms the civilians equipped themselves into a makeshift Army of Heaven to oppose the Heresy taking place so near to their homes. An attack against the Coven commenced shortly after. The battle was long and hard-fought, however the Witchkin could not long withstand the brilliance of the Faithful facing them. They were forced to flee.

Victory calls for celebration, and thusly all that revere the Lord should rejoice... however this was but one battle. This mysterious Cult of Warlocks still operates actively in the Northern Tower, shielding their practice with magical wards that prohibit entrance. The Southern Tower could not be placed under guard straight away, and thusly they may still regroup there after gathering themselves.

It is clear from their practice of Daemonolatry, hostile intent and dangerous spells that they should be treated with great caution.

Praise to Lord Decus!
