Pagan: Stone Form does nothing

When casting the spell, it doesn't seem to reach the point in the code where it gets checked against its success/fail ratio: after the animation (which can take two or three cycles at random, meaning the character will wave its arms twice OR three times, it varies), the spell does nothing. It doesn't fizzle or provide the expected benefits.

I've cast this spell properly a few days ago and it's definitely not working the way it did back then.
