Make magical heals take grit

Post by Hagbard » April 24th, 2021, 5:56 am

Hello!

Make magical healing use Grit. I think it would be more balanced, and force mages to rest as well.

Thank you, that is all.

While I understand this would be needed for "balance",

the premise of Requiem is that magic is not balanced. It is powerful, scary, and shunned. The drawback comes from the way it is viewed in RP.

Agree on that!

However, as it is right now, mages never need to rest. I think it would be a good addition.

Note, this comes from someone who has a character that uses magical healing :)

The problem is that grit requires anatomy, so you'd be asking mages to spend an extra 50-100 skills just to have a pool of grit.

"Rest" will also become required because of sanity.

While I agree it is not necessarily fair mages do not need to restore their grit, I am not sure the solution you propose is the best one to achieve what you seek.

Ah yes, I forgot about the anatomy requirement!

Perhaps the Sanity system will introduce rest requirements for mages as well!
