Forum Corrections, Applications and App Updates

Post by Sic » November 8th, 2018, 5:05 pm

As we're getting hammered with all the lovely activity from our awesome community, we've fixed a few things that weren't working properly:

Applications will no longer flood the OOC announcement channel in Discord with new apps. We’re terribly sorry about this and rest assured, we do not intend to operate a Discord server that has constant notifications of that nature. The OOC announcement channel will only draw posts from this forum exclusively.

Newly registered users may utilize the PM function now.

Newly registered users will be flipped into Registered user status after 2 posts now.

Users may now register multiple usernames to a single e-mail.

Also, we would like to address the nature of applications and how they relate to our community. In order to promote the use of public applications as much as possible, we have changed some of the previous application questions; they are now as follows:

Do you have any prior experience with Requiem? If so, please detail when (and what characters, if desired) you previously played:

Briefly summarize your prior role-playing experience in a sentence or two:

Why do you wish to play on Requiem, and what do you expect from the shard?

What will your character’s name be?

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

Briefly provide a pertinent detail or notable quality of your character’s history (this does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret):

Briefly write an in-character response to the following scenario:

We wish to stress that in no way are you required to completely divulge every aspect of your character; a girl has to have some secrets after all. We encourage everyone utilize the public forums for their applications, and only resort to requesting a private application if you absolutely need to; private applications complicate our progress, give less of a feel of our characters and players to prospective applicants, and generally put less of what we all do well out there for the world to see. With the forum changes to allow multiple usernames, you can furthermore register multiple nicknames and handles for each of your characters.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters, and we’ll see you all in-game soon!
