What will your character’s name be?
Scarlet Vespers


Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:


Tall, looks to be early 20s, beautiful, light weight, with pallid skin, red hair and light green eyes.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

Scarlet hopes to escape the bounty on her head by fleeing to the first province, and starting her life over there.


Please provide a few short paragraphs with pertinent details or notable qualities of your character’s history. This does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret:

Originally hailing from Drolund, Scarlet was raised in a large family of grain farmers. When the torment came, her family had faith in the republic that the horde would be held back, and waited far too long to flee before the dead were upon them.

She lost five siblings in the escape from her farmstead, and was forced to become a refugee, fleeing first into Ghaenthgrand and making her way across the territory to Volgen. Her family took painstaking efforts to make sure their immigration was legal and allowed under republic law, going through all the proper channels to insure as smooth a transition as possible.

However, an angry mob who blamed the immigrants for the arrival of the blight upon their lake and land erupted into violence at her family's arrival, slaughtering the remaining members of her family. During the chaos, Scarlet manages to kill the attacker who mortally wounded her mother, and her mother tells her to escape and trust no one.

Scarlet spends the next few years in the moores of Volgen, stalking sheep herders and poaching sheep to survive, killing the shephards that catch her. Eventually, she's caught by a shepherd who strikes first and greviously injures her, though she injures him as well, and he makes an escape back to town. Scarlet falls unconcious, thinking her short and brutal life is at an end.

To her surprise, and initial dismay, she regains conciousness in a comfortable bed in a nice home, where she is nursed back to health by the kindly stranger who found her. Once she is stable and walking again, she ventures outdoors to find there are wanted posters with her face on them, promising a large sum for her capture.

Seeing the interested parties and their hunting dogs studying the posters, and not wanting to endanger the kind man who took her in and nursed her back to health, she decides to make a run to the first province, where no bounty hunter would dare to follow.

TRAINYARD PROMPT

Scarlet arrives in the trainyard, barely comprehending the behemoth machine but thankful for the distraction it provides as most everyone around is busy gawking at it. Tucking her hair back and pulling her hood down so that she is as unrecognizable as possible, she anxiously waits in the line to gain access to the first province.

Though she cannot help keeping a wary eye on the legionnaires and their hounds, she remains thankful that she hasn’t seen any more posters featuring her face, and quietly urges the line to move forward already.

When she finally reaches the officiant, she presents a swathe of meaningless papers as well as a modest pile of silver stuck between them.

“I think you’ll find that everything is in order” she says sweetly, while casting a cautious glance over a shoulder back to the legionnaires and their hounds.
