Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

She is looking to escape the Legion, and find some wilderness adventure while she's at it

Please provide a few short paragraphs with pertinent details or notable qualities of your character’s history. This does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret:

Madison Montgomery's story is one woven into the fabric of Athaerun's landscapes and history. Born a twin in a small village nestled within the yew forests of Athaerun, Madison and her sister Madilyn’s life were shaped by the natural beauty and the grand monasteries that dotted the cliffs overlooking the Pearl Sea. Their ancestors were among the tribes that had once thrived in the region, skilled hunters who had a deep reverence for the land and its bounties.

From a young age, Madison exhibited an adventurous spirit. She was drawn to the forests, spending hours observing the wildlife and practicing her archery skills. The beauty of the land and the towering monasteries always stirred her curiosity, fueling a desire to explore beyond the familiar village boundaries.

Her fascination with the yew trees, known for their exceptional wood quality, led her to experiment with crafting bows and arrows. This talent wasn't just a hobby; it became a part of her identity, a skill that connected her to her ancestors and their resourceful ways. Madison's connection to the land was further deepened by her proficiency in alchemy. Though self-taught, her understanding of plants and their properties allowed her to create potions that aided in her survival and adventures.

As Madison grew older, her longing to explore the monasteries and learn about their history intensified. The stories of the ancient tribes and the rise of the Decusian faith fascinated her. She dreamt of a life beyond the village, where she could traverse the cliffs, venture into the monasteries, and uncover the secrets of the past.

However, her desires weren't without challenges. Her stealthy excursions often led to unexpected encounters with the wilderness, testing her skills and resolve. Madison's determination to blend in with her surroundings sometimes ended in skirmishes with creatures of the forest. But with each challenge, she emerged stronger and more resolute.

One fateful day, Madison's life took an unexpected turn. A mysterious Prelate approached her with an offer that would alter the course of her path. He sought the Montgomery twin’s skills for a daring mission: infiltrate Alftwyn Monastery, a place now haunted by the Torment, and retrieve vital documents. The Prelate's motivations remained shrouded in secrecy, but the Montgomery's adventurous spirits and their curiosity about the monastery's past urged them to accept.
Steeling herself for the journey ahead, Madison set off on a path that would take her beyond the familiar forests and cliffs.

She knew that this mission was not only about documents; it was about uncovering truths, facing the past, and navigating a world where darkness and light intertwined. With her archery skills, alchemical knowledge, and unyielding determination, Madison Montgomery embarked on a quest that would redefine her understanding of Athaerun and her place within its intricate tapestry.

The mission was.. somewhat successful, they managed secured the documents they were tasked to retrieve, however, the exit was quite the opposite of their stealthy entrance, and brought scores of torment down on the pairs heads. Having to give up the quiet approach, they barely made It out sprinting as fast as they could and taking as many well aimed shots as possible to open a path for themselves.

In the end, they were only able to escape because of the fortifications age and relative disrepair, finding a weak point in the barricade and forcing their way through… face first into a legion patrol. The patrolmen, startled at first, had to give up chasing the pair as the horde of torment that was in hot pursuit came tearing out after them, and the containment breech couldn’t be allowed to escalate.

Still, the pair knew their faces had been seen by the local Legion, and they needed to get out of town – fast.

Please write a few short paragraphs of an in-character response to the following scenario:
As she stands amongst the crowd outside the imposing palisades of the Rumbling Pass train-yards, her heart races with a blend of anticipation and trepidation. The sight of the massive outpost guarded by Legionnaires and Church Templar is a stark reminder of the gravity of the journey she’s about to undertake. The looming mountains that mark the boundary of the fallen First Province seem to radiate a somber energy, their peaks shrouded in an eerie mist that matches the weight of the secrets hidden within.

Her gaze drifts to the passenger train idling on the tracks, a technological marvel that stands in stark contrast to the rugged wilderness around her. The billowing steam from its smokestack feels like a tangible manifestation of the collective anxiety that fills the air. It's surreal, almost unreal, to witness this mode of transportation in a land where danger lurks in every shadow. The chatter around her, of safe passage and the elusive rarity of a locomotive, stirs her imagination but also amplifies the gravity of what lies ahead.

The scene before her, the controlled chaos of people and military personnel, raises a question that lingers in her mind: Why the elaborate effort to facilitate entry into a forsaken realm? The stories she'd heard about the First Province have painted a dismal portrait of desolation and horror. The allure of treasures and salvation is as enticing as it is uncertain. But now, standing here, it's clear that the mysteries of the First Province are not just tales spun around campfires; they are tangible, and they are pulling people toward it’s enigmatic heart.

As she inches closer to the outpost officiant, observing the varying tactics used by the hopeful entrants, a mixture of desperation and determination fills the air. Her purpose is clear: to secure my passage, to delve into the unknown for reasons her heart keeps close. The officiant's monotonous words cut through the murmur of the crowd, outlining the stringent rules governing entry. The officiant's weariness is evident, his final words a stark reminder of the dangers that lie within the quarantine zone.

Her heart quickens as she prepares to approach the officiant, thoughts of what awaits her beyond the outpost's gates swirling in her mind. With a deep breath, she braces herself “Hello, Sir. You’ll find everything here is in order, I’m sure.” And steadily sets down her Visa secured through her prelacy contacts.

Congratulations, adventurer! Your application is...

Approved!

Please ensure that your character name is spelled correctly upon exiting the Songmaker's chambers. A GM will approve your character at their earliest convenience.

Welcome to Requiem!

Note: Very good lore rich app! One note: Prelates are the founding members of the Republic that came over and conquered the land alongside Decus. So they've been dead a long time. I assume you used it as a way to refer to Prelacy (those who descended from the original Prelates) but you would just call them Prelacy.

That's not to say it couldn't have been some divine vision or some mysterious person who says they are a Prelate (and may be?) or whatever other creative things you can come up with. Just wanted to make you aware!

Great app!
