No. I have played private UO shards and live.

Briefly summarize your prior role-playing experience in a sentence or two:

Fairly new to RP. I have had a wonderful co-conspirator teaching me the ropes with RPing a character. I'd say neophyte skills in role playing.

Why do you wish to play on Requiem, and what do you expect from the shard?

The shard was recommended to me, and I enjoyed playing UO off and on for many years.

What will your character’s name be?: Silver

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

Silver is pale and somewhat gaunt, but has a strong presence with intense, violet-colored, deep-set eyes. He doesn't remember how old he is, but he looks to be in his mid-to-late thirties. He has shoulder length hair that has prematurely greyed. He is just short of six feet tall, and wears a small bell as an earring in his left ear. He has a long scar across his chest, from his right shoulder, to his lower left rib cage that cuts across his heart. He has long, dexterous fingers that are skilled in crafting and the arts. He wears dark colors almost always and has an air of somberness. When you look into his eyes, there is much pain and sadness there, but he will never speak of it.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

Silver has partial amnesia and has forgotten some of his past. His strongest remaining memories are the recurring dreams he has had his whole life about a beautiful girl with bells in her hair. He wears the bell in his ear to constantly remind him of her during his waking hours. The beautiful girl in his dreams was a siren call, drawing him to the First Province. He is searching for riches and a way to fulfill his dreams, both figuratively and literally. He seems to have some combat skills, enough to passably keep him alive. He also has nimble hands that allow him to excel in many different capacities. When he is in deep concentration, he often is seen spinning coins between his fingers, weaving them in and out of his fingers. He often is unaware he is doing this because he is deeply focused on something.

Briefly provide a pertinent detail or notable quality of your character’s history (this does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret):

Silver in unsure of the year he was born. Those memories are lost to him. He cannot remember his background or where he grew up. He knows his dream that draws him forward in life. He does have a distant memory of being in hospital in Ravenbridge, southwest of the Goodsea in Ghaenthgrand, Midlands. He belives he was recovering from a grievous wound, the one that left him scarred. He remembered a girl, stunning to his memory, that helped him, but the memories are fuzzy. He does remember her having bells in her hair and a presence that, even with is faulty memory, that her warmth and caring nature helped keep him alive. He is sure that the girl is the the one in his dreams, but he is not sure if she is real, and truly did help him recover, or if the entire thing is an evolving dream that has woven itself into his memory, interlacing thoughts and dreams into his own reality. He sets on his journey of discovery, heading to the first province in the beginning of icerain. His clothing is a bit worn, but warm enough to keep him from freezing in the cold, dreary weather.

He has vague memories of playing instruments but does not remember ever learning to play, nor is he sure he truly can play anything. He has no memory of ever trying. He does, on occasion, sing to himself quietly as he wanders and works.

Briefly write an in-character response to the following scenario:

Silver sighs and runs his fingers and palms across his face in frustration. He has gotten this far and is beyond irritated that this man lording his power over these people has the potential to send him away. He knows he has enough coin to bribe the man into allowing him to pass. He already sold off any item of value to buy the ticket to Rumbling Pass. The ticket was expensive, but he managed to retain a good amount of coin, even after the ticket purchase. Having to pay some of his hard earned earnings to this horrible person was galling, but unfortunately necessary.

He watches the man's reaction as people offer their reasons or bribes. He decides that he has a good idea what will get him onto the train. He counts out the coin in his pockets adds two more to sweeten the deal, and palms them in his right hand. When it is his turn, he walks directly to the officiant and leans forward conspiratorially. He hides his closed fist full of coins from everyone but the man in front of him. Silver leans forward and whispers just loud enough to be heard. "I have crafting skills that can benefit many people on the other side of this trip, but those skills are not as relevant as this." He opens his palm to reveal the glittering coin, waiting for the officiant to take the small stack of precious metal.
