An Announcement from the Inquisition: Stolen Church Property

Post by Verange » April 30th, 2024, 4:07 pm

*A number of posters have been spread out throught Fort Praesidium. They carry the insignia of the Venerated Inquisition Corps.*
Attention, Denizens of Fort Praesidium!

It has come to the attention of the Venerated Inquisition that individuals within our community may be in possession of ancient relics and artifacts that rightfully belong to the Holy Church. These relics must be returned to their rightful guardians at once.

We hereby issue a grave warning to all those who have unlawfully obtained these relics: return them to the custody of the Church without delay, or face the full consequences of your actions. Theft of Church property is a theft from the Archangel himself; such is a grave sin in the eyes of the One True God, and those who perpetrate such acts will be held accountable for their crimes.

Let it be known that the Venerated Inquisition will spare no effort in rooting out those who do not willingly come in and return what has been taken. Our agents will be conducting thorough investigations and inspections, and those found in possession of stolen Church property will face severe punishment under the Law of the Church.

However, we offer a chance of mercy to those who have erred in their ways: if you return the stolen relics voluntarily and confess your sins to the Venerated Inquisition, you may yet find forgiveness and redemption in the eyes of the Archangel. The path to salvation is open to all who seek it, but only through repentance and restitution can one hope to find absolution for their transgressions.

Therefore, let this serve as a final warning to all who have taken that which does not belong to them: return the stolen items, confess your sins, and seek the mercy of the Church, lest you face the wrath of divine justice.

May the Archangel guide us in our quest for truth and righteousness, and may He grant mercy to those who seek His forgiveness.
