Do you have any prior experience with Requiem? If so, please detail when (and what characters, if desired) you previously played:
No, never.

How did you hear about Requiem?
My guild leader from another uo server started a character here.

CHARACTER QUESTIONS
(Please note: Staff is looking for at least three lore references in your application when reviewing.)

What will your character’s name be?

Stalrik Graves

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:
He’s getting to the older side of life at 38 but you can tell by the way he stares off distantly and the way he speaks that he is not a smart man. He is slightly above average in his height, though that may be because of how thick he is. His hands are almost always stained grey/black from coal grime and slag.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:
Stalrik once had a pretty stable life and work but the overcrowding and smog of Redholme, a place he was already seen as low caste, led him to want to pursue a life away from this place of his birth. His dark thoughts and secret deeds accelerated his need to do so.

Please provide a few short paragraphs with pertinent details or notable qualities of your character’s history. This does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret:

Stalrik was born before the torment. At the age of 3 his mother (the year of the torment) was taken and in the following year his father left him, he was handed off to a few family members before finding himself an apprentice to a small blacksmith outside Redholm City. He only ever remembers the world in chaos, but he was well fed and learned valuable skills.

Stalrik was never the brightest of children, but an accident in his home forge led to the death of an older apprentice and a serious head injury for Stalrik. Since then he has never been trusted with the most delicate of work, instead of being elevated into the harder work of the older apprentice he was asked to do much of the fetching and carrying. The job of acquiring ore and smelting bars became a zen state for him and he enjoyed the work.

Outside of the forge, Stalrik is awkward and uncouth. With a lack of attention in his youth and little social practice as he got older, Stalrik mostly sits in silence. He doesn’t hear voices but he talks to himself in his head. Sometimes playing out wicked fantasies quite unlike his normal self.

Stalrik has never taken too much liking to the church. The pious often treat him with pity and condensation, he loathes them in silence. Lately the curiosities about sinister magics has piqued his fascination, his desire to witness and be involved with such folk has become a perverse obsession.

Please write a few short paragraphs of an in-character response to the following scenario:

“I have walked all the way from Redholm City, sir, with my small kit of trade supplies to seek an anvil in the First Province to practice my skills and earn gold, for myself. I can repair your armor sir, I see a few dents there and some leather bindings that could be replaced. And you over there, that blade looks dull. I can see there are many chances for trade here, sir. All I need is a good fire and an anvil, I know I could do good work here sir!”

[Stalrik never once makes eye contact. But he shows his tools and hands in a rhetorical manner as he speaks.]
