Mors Vitares (secondary)

Post by an apostate » December 4th, 2018, 9:11 am

Do you have any prior experience with Requiem? If so, please detail when (and what characters, if desired) you previously played:
Yee

Briefly summarize your prior role-playing experience in a sentence or two:
Why do you wish to play on Requiem, and what do you expect from the shard?
I roleplayed on several UORP shards. This is the most serious.

What will your character’s name be?:
Mors Vitares

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:
Mors is forty years old. His forehead carries a tattoo that looks like the upper body of a humanoid figure, its hands reaching up to the top of his head. Long wrinkles run along his cheeks, giving him a worn-out impression with his dull grey eyes. His hands are rough and calloused all over, but particularly so on his palms and the backs of his hands. The same wear and hardening is visible on his feet. His limbs are long and he has a sinewy build. He moves with self-assured motions and long leaping steps. His voice is usually soothingly monotonous.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:
Mors believes he has been unwillingly given a purpose that is as of yet unclear to him. Whether or not he looks forward to fulfilling it, what he has experienced has led him to believe he must make it to the ruins of Tor for judgment or redemption. He also considers the journey a possibility to either make amends with his past sins or come to terms with them and continue on that path.

Briefly provide a pertinent detail or notable quality of your character’s history (this does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret):
Mors originally comes from a middle-class family in Athaerûn. Working to become a scribe, he became more and more interested in the forbidden fruit of Principatus, until his hobbies were discovered by others and he had to flee to the less populated countryside. Although he had become an outlaw, he decided that the event marked a turning point in his life and chose to pursue the arcane arts even further, hoping to uncover a purpose in life hidden to most.
Years passed by until spoilers happened and had Mors seek entry into the First Province.

Briefly write an in-character response to the following scenario:
Realizing he had little chance of persuading the officials to let him pass, he waited until nightfall and snuck into a Foundry supply wagon, hiding inside a large barrel to make it past the checkpoint and into the province come morning.
After hearing the sounds of the checkpoint become more and more distant, he crawled out of the barrel. His aching body proved inferior to the Foundry caravan guards' quick legs, and he immediately got struck to the ground and beaten. Realizing from Mors' appearance that he held nothing of value and was of no value to anyone, the Foundrymen didn't bother to use their time in reporting him to anyone or looting him, instead opting to leave him lying by the road. When Mors managed to get on his feet, he was relieved to realize that he had suffered plenty of superficial bruises for a pouch of coin that he'd snatched from one of the Foundrymen in the midst of the brawl and slipped inside his clothes. With his newly-made coin, the began his weary walk towards fort preasidium in the distance.
