A letter to the Reeve

Dear Reeve Montgomery,

My name is Aradia and I am a cook and carpenter in the fort. I have noticed lately that much of our food seems to spoil quickly and it becomes very unsafe for us to eat. It also has been left out around the fort which causes unsanitary issues to occur and is a huge concern for cleanliness. I would like to recommend the following to remedy this issue:

1. Canned meals- I believe that canned meals will help in lasting longer for our citizens and will also aid the military on long trips. Making canned meals that travel well will allow the troops to move on the go and to deal with threats in a quicker and more effective manner.

2. Deep Freezer- A deep icebox is requested within the fort that we can freeze food within. I believe food will keep better in this manner and when needed we are able to remove it from the freezer, defrost it, and cook it. This will help us minimize wasting food in the fort.
