Do you have any prior experience with Requiem? If so, please detail when (and what characters, if desired) you previously played:
I played as Samuel Keller in Act V.

Briefly summarize your prior role-playing experience in a sentence or two:
I’ve roleplayed on a number of different Uo Shards; Requiem Act V, Khaeros, Dark Age, Myth, Teiravon and a few others.

Why do you wish to play on Requiem, and what do you expect from the shard?
I miss Uo RP and Virgle won’t stop heckling me to join. I expect an immersive dark survival experience, and great RP.

What will your character’s name be?:
Laurent de Ravin

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:
Height: 6ft, Weight: 198 lb, Eyes: Green, Hair: Black.
A muscled form, but more agile than strong. Though utterly gorgeous, his skin bares quite a few scars from training, and combat during missions for the family. He appears to be in his early twenties.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:
Laurent would have rather not entered the first province, but sacrifice is everything.. He’s accompanied Nicolien to act as protection while she is there, per her orders.

Briefly provide a pertinent detail or notable quality of your character’s history (this does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret):
Born a son within the de Ravin home Laurent has had the pleasure of invisibility. Unfortunately he likes to be seen, which has lead to quite a few “talkings to” and missions meant to rectify his outbursts and unruly attitude. Fortunately for him, and surprisingly for Mother, Laurent always returned from said missions.

Briefly write an in-character response to the following scenario:
Laurent’s weight shifted in the saddle as the travellers came to a halt. He could see Nico at the front of the line, explaining their situation to the guard.
“Good,” he thought, “she can handle the business end of things.”
Up in front of him, toward the middle of their caravan he could see a red head, bobbing this way and that and he snickered. His younger sister was just as restless as he was, but much worse at hiding it.
His hand rested on the hilt of his weapon. What horrors would await him? He had little interest in working as a bodyguard, but that was his lot in life. The de Ravin family was odd in that the girls were more valued than the boys. That was fine with Laurent, as it usually meant he was overlooked, but now and then the Parish’s devotion to sacrifice meant he had to leave the luxuries of his home to go out and wield the weapons he had been so well-trained with.
The group started moving once again, and Laurent was startled from his thoughts. Nico hadn’t had any trouble in securing their passage, not that he had any doubt.
As he approached, the officiant looked up at him with a quirk of the brow.
“Last one, I’m afraid,” Laurent flashed the man a winning smile and offered down his own bundle of official papers,“De Ravin Parish” written prominently on the front..
“Glad to have the help, things aren’t looking good” the man said, handing the documents back to Laurent. It wasn’t a difficult thing for a House of their prestige to obtain the appropriate documentation, but the group had to go through the same steps as everyone else when it came to passage.
“We’ll do what we can, of course.” The young man replied before urging his horse forward.
Laurent pushed a stray strand of ebony hair back from his face and glanced around, noticing a young woman with prominent… assets… nearby. He grinned and made a big show of bowing his head to her which elicited a giggle and a flush of red across her cheeks.
Maybe this mission won’t be as dull as the others after all. His lips curled up as he jostled the reigns of his horse, moving forward toward his destiny.

The arrogance of youth and luxury. Confidence that could only be born out of ignorance. He would learn, the officiant knew, that a winning smile would not be enough to survive the hardships ahead. He thought of stopping him and urging him to turn back as he did for many others. But he could see his words would be wasted. Heard but unheard in this young man's mind. He would learn. The officiant just hoped it was not in his final moment, as often was the case, that wisdom imparted itself upon him.
