A matter of liberation

Post by PhoebusG » May 30th, 2021, 11:35 am

Amon sat at the bank, looking at the balance in disbelief, he'd make it. He and his friends in need, collecting a rather large ransom, for his own personal history anyway, to finally free his mother from captivity back in the mids (midlands).

He sighed and once more thought about the plans at play to ensure her release is better ensured. Without risking anything, his mom's life or bodily integrity. He'd run through his head the plans and information he was asked about it a few times. Making sure no core detail was missing, no important detail to locating them... To figuring out their "modus operandi" to best ensure, as he could, that she would indeed make it out.

After all these folks killed his father, the then the last defender of his small forest inhabiting family, he was now inheriting that position, but he couldn't do it alone. He wasn't as networked as some of his new friends and leaders. Although he did put his trust in them, he was still feeling uneasy, clinging to his duties and busy work to keep his mind from thinking or overthinking what was ahead...

He gave the order to the banker to issue a cheque in the full amount of the ransom, signing where he needed, at times trembling a bit. Everything should turn out ok, he thought. Handing back all the paperwork. He then handed the required documents for the transfer to his new "family"'s leadership, who despite other challenges made time to step in and help him with his personal torment...
