Can't tend to custom farms.

I'm not sure what happened, but most of my custom farm rejects my care even if I stand on top of the plant in question.
It seems to be more of a plant problem in general rather than the crop type.
This is on a faction-built farm, not the Foundry, which I haven't tested in a long time.
Specifically, I am unable to water and fertilize any of the half-grown plants, nor can I close the gump.
I can only tend to the affected plants with the garden tools like a spreader and hose.
Edit: Falco said this in Discord, "I can tend to my crops (just cant stand on the actual field to do it), just don't have any animal droppings to do so."
I've verified that this appears to be true. Oddly, the plants which claim I am too far away to care for them will allow me to do so when I am *actually* far from them, too. The distance they accept appears to be a 2-tile radius from the pioneered field.
