Several illegible notes are placed slapdash around Fort Prae, their indecipherable hen scratch having been crossed out and re-written by a steadier hand.
"Lookin' for one of them new-fangled water pumps. Old one's gettin' a might worn and the crops are as thirsty as ever. A couple hoses really, if anyone's got em' layin' round. Bit shy on silver, mind. But I can barter in stuff what pretty much sells itself. Tumeric. Garlic. Lumber. Odd else here an' there.
