Alchemy as it presently stands largely has combat-centric productions that are really useful -- for battle. But I'd like to see this skill expanded into a proper trade skill that regularly has valuable use and application for many players and if you stumbled across a true master alchemists' shop, you'd have many curios and curiousities to peruse and be mystified by, rather than the Conflags/Bombs/Flash grenades being the more curious stand outs. Lel.
VANITY PRODUCTIONS
Vanity productions, for all intents and purposes; 'Dont really impact gameplay directly, but rather the role-play environment.'
Hygiene Stat: Easily implemented, this would just be a meter that raises over play time, with it slowed if the character is just standing still for 5+ minutes until they're active again. This should show up in [look and isn't editable by the player beyond 'means' that fight against it, VERY USEFUL for staff-side of implementing illnesses, NPC reactions, infection risks, and more -- This is a fun stat our grimdark world NEEDS. Hygiene would never naturally reach the coveted '5' (Immaculately Clean); this would take bonus measures to even start to maintain, with an elusive 0 top end cleanly value of (Unnaturally Clean).
Note: Fighting Bloaters, wading through 'horror areas' full of corpses/blood, playing around in the Abyss or Aiwella is likely to utterly wreck your Hygiene stat very fast. At 'very' dangerous levels of hygiene the character could be haunted by a *Gives off wafts of unpleasant stench...* every few minutes.
COLOGNE/PERFUME: They're as they sound, a good smelly tincture meant to cover up bad smells until one can acquire a coveted bath+soap. In mechanical terms this would act like a Pain spike; briefly altering the Hygiene Stat for a [respectable] duration with intensity and duration based on quality but it would later return to the proper value, as this is a cover-up or augmentor of hygiene; not a bar of a soap. Will combat stench message risk if hygiene is awful making it a valuable carry along.
SOAP: Brick soaps craftable through cooking (NATURAL) or Alchemy (Oils/Etc...), SOAP would be usable near any water source or [Blood] (Often GM designed water) to clean the character and reset their Hygiene rating. Higher quality soaps would add a bonus to place Hygiene into 'more desirable' grades, don't buy peasant soap!
DANDY KIT/MAKE UP KIT: A means to 'modify' ones Hygiene stat downward partially, but not a reset+mod like soap; but also to temporarily raise ones' beauty score, ideally even beyond (Gorgeous) to (Ravishing) or even (Unusually Alluring and a Depiction of Beauty).
Beard/Stash Stunting Lotion: A lotion to stop the growth rate of Beard/stash for several days; a high desirable for regular players who just want to be lazier and not log in only to have to trim, 1-5 uses per vial. Clearly a must have.
