This suggestion is for armorsmithing.
New armor, heavy medium and light should instead of locking things to elemental or physical, be a toggle when you have 4 or more pieces of heavy, medium, or light. Then you just toggle on physical or elemental. Armor art assets are already limited and the ability to mix and match or otherwise use a set you wouldn't normally for aesthetic or roleplay value.
The impact upon armorsmiths would include a greater agency in establishing a style or signature technique. It would further decrease the # of ingots required to meet market demands for particular armor types as you could reduce your stock by half which means less grinding for blacksmiths.
