What will your character’s name be?

Cefric Mordus

Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

Cefric is a good looking 6'1" man. He is lean and muscular, weighing in at 190lbs. His shoulder length black hair and his sharply trimmed beard are both peppered with gray, marking his 40 years with the beginning signs of old age.

He has three silver ring piercings grouped together on his left brow. The glint from the rings match his light gray eyes in a pleasing way.

A thin silver chain dangles around his neck, with two different rings dangling from them. Each one meant to be worn on a finger and made of a different metal and style.

Please provide a few short paragraphs with pertinent details or notable qualities of your character’s history. This does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret:

A rough life growing up alone and fending for himself in a city known for degenerates and thieves has forged Cefric into the nervous, twitchy, always alert, and unscrupulous man he is today.

He lives life an hour at a time, always focusing on what benefits him most in the short term because he's always assumed death was waiting for him around every street corner.

There was a brief period of his life where he thought he could break out of the darkness and live among happier people. He doesnt talk about those days anymore, but when he's thinking about them he sometimes clenches the rings on his necklace until his knucles turn white.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

His ruthless and crafty nature suited life in Nemus well. He worked for a local guild known to handle buisness problems with a knife in the back. Their success was impressive, until they crossed an old mage who once belonged to the Resolve. In a single night, the guild leadership all disappeared.

When it was Cefric's turn, the mage gave him a choice. Handle some work for him, or join his cohorts at the bottom of the swamp. After handling the easy work, then the bloody work, the mage gave him one final task... Travel to the First Province, find his grandaughter and give her a package.

He did not dare to open the package or delay in setting off. He felt the magic settle on him, and knew that his life depended on completing this final task.

Scenario Response:

There were more people here than he anticipated, and crowds made him jumpy. He scanned over them, making a note of anyone who looked dangerous, or foolish enough to start trouble. He didn't want trouble, he wanted to deliver this package. Afer that he would... he... he couldn't seem to make any plans for what he would do afterwards. Whenever he tried to make a decision, his mind would shift back to his task at hand.

"Gotta be a curse," he muttered to himself.

An overweight man next to him glanced in his direction, his fancy clothes indicating some kind of status in the church, but Cefric hadn't ever bothered to learn the nuances of the church's ranks.

"The Torment... yes. It could be a curse." the fat man blusters. "Don't worry though, friend, have faith and you will find what it is you seek."

Cefric nodded politely as the man turned and approached the guard. His eyes darted to the pouch hanging from the man's hip, held on by a single knot.

Without hesitation, his dagger slipped into his palm and he cut loose the pouch, grabbing it deftly before it fell.

He slipped away to another place in line, and waited for his turn.

When the offical began his speech, Cefic tossed the pouch at him while he was still talking, winked, and kept walking onto the train.
