Riverrun Landing

Post by YeOldenMan » July 22nd, 2023, 8:35 pm

Basics & Logistics

1. Have you read all of the prerequisites and considerations and do you agree to abide by them?

Yes We Have.

2. What is the name of your intended Faction?

Riverrun Landing

3. What is the expected or intended size of the Faction in terms of player characters?

Five or so. The Thought is some of the new blood might look for a place to live near the fort until established.

4. What is the expected or intended size of the Faction in terms of its’ lore concept, and/or including NPCs?

Same. We might employ a couple of guards eventually but do not plan to do so initially.

5. Roleplaying wise, how influential will the Faction strive to be? Will it tend to stick to itself and not make waves, or will it try and become a household name? How will the Faction accomplish this level (or lack thereof) of influence and reputation?

The aim is not to influence unless the group decides it is to be later.

6. Does the Faction have any unique colors, sigils, banners, or signage that uniquely identifies it? What is the significance of it?

None.

Goals & Future

1. What purpose, direction or goal does the Faction have in the world at large?

There is no focus outside of the province and what can be seen here

2. What purpose, direction or goal does the Faction have within the quarantined First Province in particular?

The goal is to provide a place for people to arrive in safety, forge friendships and a sense of community and maintain a base of support for their future lives.

To provide Safe Harbor for anyone and all. A peaceful place to prosper with a sense of community and support. We are not driven by profit but education, possibly taking on apprentices.

3. Role-playing wise, what would the Faction seek to accomplish within the next six to twelve months? What are their immediate and long-term goals?

The immediate goal is to set up overflow housing due to the constraints of the fort, while still maintaining a presence within, by building a community in close proximity. Long term goal would be to improve the living and working conditions of laborers and refugees in and around the province.

4. Is the Faction famous or infamous for anything in particular? Will it strive to be famous or infamous for anything in the near future?

The faction does not seek fame but to foster a sense of community.

Concept & Community

1. Please provide the Discord handle of the intended Player Leader of this Faction that will serve to liaison with the Staff in the future:

blake_hawthorne

2. Please provide a summary as to the out-of-character purpose of the Faction, what sort of role you feel it will fill in-game (trading guild, PVP, PVM, etc.), and what sort of player character you intend to attract and/or support with the Faction in general.

We aim to stay a group of RP driven homesteaders and laborers to provide every day interactions with the other players of the world and have a platform for hosting player run events.

Supplemental

1. If you have anything additional you would like to publicly share with us, to include in-character write ups, descriptions, organization structures or even custom logos and sigils, please provide them here:

Slayton had always been one for trying to help a little bit to each new face he’d meet. But this time, it was a little different. A wise woman. Near seasoned as long as he was. Perhaps she reminded him too much of someone else, and that was hard to ignore.

“The soil is much richer here in the province than back home.” She stated. And perhaps that was enough to pique the man’s interest. Her elation at watching growing crops and excitement of figuring out how to make them healthy felt very familiar to him. His late wife had been the same way – giddy over finding mushrooms or growing the perfect head of cabbage. The Tribal Woman's warmth was enough to fill a cold void he had carried as of late.

After a few days had passed, she saw the old man again and stopped to thank him. She brought a small gift to his flat to show her appreciation and concealed her reaction to the clutter. She swept the stool clear and sat on it, striking up a casual conversation about nothing in particular. Soon this was a pattern that was often repeated and when he moved to new quarters she brought a housewarming gift, noting again that though slightly larger, it was still packed tight.

She parted company that night with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye. “Goodnight, Tuari Wanikiya. I give you the secret name. It means Messy Teepee. This is private, only for inside the clan.”

He decided at that moment that his new goal was to help her feel more settled in the province. After all, the soil here was different from Ghaenthgrad as well.
