Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

This young woman from Sulastas is brown skinned with curly hair. She has a quick wit and an intelligent look in her eyes but is modest and quiet. One might call her reserved. She is neither unusually tall nor short, not conspicuously pretty but not exactly plain. She is the kind of girl one might overlook in a crowd.

Please provide a few short paragraphs with pertinent details or notable qualities of your character’s history. This does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret:

Jaiyra had migrated with her family from an island off the coast of Sulastas to the mainland as a child. As the lower forests became untenable, they moved gradually northward just managing to stay a step ahead of the Torment. Eventually they tagged onto a party of travelers leaving Sulastas for a trek across northern Prodai and into Virrenul. Having spent her entire life on the move, she assimilated quickly into camp life. The travelers were a ragtag group of squatters eking out a meager existence until they were discovered trespassing and rounded up. Jaiyra had been out on a foraging expedition with a few others and escaped capture. She watched from a ridge as her friends and family were rounded up, the camp looted and burned. Chasing a rumor of migration further west, dejected but determined, Jaiyra made her way with the last survivors of the group northeast towards the First Province.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

Jaiyra is seeking rest from a lifetime of wandering. She wants to work and contribute however she is able.


Scenario Response:

Jaiyra watched her traveling companions pass through the gate and board the train one by one. She shuffled her way along as the line inched forward only to be met by the stern gaze of the officiant. “This one’s full. Gotta wait for the next one.”

“But that’s my group,” she objected.

The guard glowered and Jaiyra fell silent though her distress was obvious. Softened by her demeanor, the guard motioned her forward and whispered, “If anyone asks, you snuck by me.”

The guard then made a show of being busy with something, turning his back to Jaiyra who slipped past and managed to get on the train just before the doors closed.
