I played here some years ago, but I don't remember much of it.

- What will your character’s name be?

Magnus Empyrean


- Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

Magnus is quite tall and broad. He looks to be around his forties; not the young man he used to be anymore. He maintains a strong build and soldier-like posture, though it's clear age will be soon weighting upon him. Both his hair and beard are white, though whether from aging or genetics, is unknown. From head to toe, he is covered in scars, some small, others larger; this man has endured a fair share of fighting. He usually travels light carrying no visible weapon. He speak in a grave, ominous tone, in a foreign accent and he is usually smoking or drinking.



- Please provide a few short paragraphs with pertinent details or notable qualities of your character’s history. This does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret:

Old veteran type of character, retired legionnaire. Soldier trying to find meaning and reconnection with himself in a life outside of war. He goes to the First Province in hopes to restore that old life he secretly enjoyed. He is a believer, though not a fervorous one. His true god is strength, and group strength above all.

Being from Drolund, he was well accostumed to the constant fear and alertness of being around Torment. Going to the First Province wouldn't prove a new experience, or so he thought. Though the Drodain people lived off mostly from the land, Magnus proudly made himself a hunter. Ironically, that's how he survived when the Torment came and took everything from him.

But.. funny thing, life. It turns around. And just as he thought it had finished, life presented a new start in the form of a train ticket...


- Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

Magnus is a simple man with simpler needs. He needs his adrenaline. He was born off war and he knows it since a very young age. Magnus is a warrior. He lives through his prowess in combat as a mercenary, hunter and monster slayer. He sees the First Province as an opportunity, a new beginning. A place untamed, where someone of his expertise is needed. A place to find glory and fame among the cursed and the damned. And one day, perhaps, form his own mercenary band.


- Scenario Response:

Magnus knows far too well the corruption of the republic; he lived here long enough. So he prepared for this. Every month, he'd save some spare coins from his pay, preparing for this day. He saved that money for five years, but it was worth it. When the time came, he shook the officiant's hand, who responded with a discreet nod. Unseen from view, the pouch with Magnus' savings was traded for the Visa he needed - his door into a new life.
