Ilaria de Ellvas


Please briefly describe the physical attributes of your character, including age, looks, height, weight and any notable features:

Ilaria's most notable features are a shock of dark auburn hair and eye color akin to an ancient forest's dark canopy, dark and ...mean. Not on purpose, but if there was an award for a RBF, she could easily win. Her skin is the color of toffee but also sprinkled with freckles across her cheekbones and the stern ridge of her nose. Her left nostril is pierced with a golden hoop and lines of similar small gold hoops follow the curve of each ear. An old scar splits the left side of her upper lip, giving her a sort of accidental snarl at times. It's fairly obvious that she is of mixed parentage and beyond that, she is of average height and weight and in her early 20s.


Please provide a few short paragraphs with pertinent details or notable qualities of your character’s history. This does not have to be exhaustive nor revealing of any information you wish to keep secret:

Ilaria has so long been a wanderer that even she is hard pressed to remember much of childhood. Perhaps her brain has blocked it out on purpose to shield her from pain, or perhaps it was so boring there is simply nothing to remember, but other than a fuzzy memory of a dark-haired woman with a dour expression -there is only emptiness before age 14
or so.

Memory returns with chaotic years of being on the move almost constantly to escape the horrors of the Torment. Those years are less blurry, but terrifying, miserable, and at times - exhilarating. It is during those chaotic years that Ilaria gained a dangerous sort of addiction to excitement and adrenaline. Of all thrills, her favorite quickly became any sort of search or chase. Whether it be treasure, information, or people - if it tried to hide or run, she would eagerly chase and take whatever prize waits at the end. Now the next prize lies somewhere in the First Province, provided she can get through.

Briefly state your character’s intentions or motivations for entering the First Province:

A new adventure, new people, new thrills to seek, new treasure to unearth. If it's time to find an actual purpose, maybe it will be here.


Scenario Response:

Ilaria's eyes are constantly moving beneath the hood of her cloak, pausing here and there to watch someone more intently if they are interesting. Eventually, however, her gaze lands on the officiant as she is nearly to the front of the line and she studies him quietly while she waits, listening to the shaking, desperate voices around her. Pulling back the hood, she straightens her spine and locks her gaze onto the officiant as the poor soul in front of her moves aside, dejected and refused.

"Ilaria de Ellvas." Her voice is confident and carries well, as she reaches out to offer the officiant a nearly perfect Quarantine Visa. If there is a mistake on the counterfeit document, she doesn't seem concerned. Her voice doesn't break or tremble, she merely waits for the outpost officiant to allow her through.
