Description of Skill

Stratagems: Finesse is a combat-related support skill that focuses primarily upon a mixture of offensive and defensive strategies involving acrobatic movements, underhanded tactics, dastardly tasks, and other general non-traditional tactics. Passively, the Stratagems: Finesse serves two purposes: first, the skill allows your character to 'dodge' incoming blows if they are wearing cloth or light armor, calculated using the formula (Stratagems: Finesse/500) = dodge chance. Secondly, Finesse allows a character to bolster their natural Stamina rate. For every 10 points of Stratagems: Finesse a character has, their Stamina gain rate is increased by 1. Stratagems: Finesse can also allows access to the 'Tumbling' mechanic, of which may be upgraded by purchasing the Acrobatics skill ability, which allows for a character to progressively increase their dodge chance for every successful dodge they manage to make while in combat for a period of 60 seconds. Dodge chance suffers a penalty when a player's dexterity is below 80 points, calcuated by the following formula: chancetododge = chancetododge * (20 + player's Dex) / 100. Wearing no armor will bestow a Dodge chance increase of 10%. Stratagems: Finesse is also used to purchase and subsequently use a number of combat-based skill abilities available only through the Stratagems: Finesse skill.

Animus Costs

This skill can be raised 1% at a time for a cost of 3 Animus. A total investment of 300 Animus points will raise this skill to a 100% skill value.
