Armor
Armor class bonuses come into play when using four or more of a type of armor class.
Armor is classified further into “Defense specs”. Armor comes in Physical and Elemental “specs”. Physical specs are geared towards protecting the user versus Physical damage, and Elemental specs are geared towards protecting the user versus Magical damage. You can freely combine or mix a piece of spec with a different spec.
For heavy armor, the physical set is Platemail, and the elemental set is Splintmail. For medium armor, the physical set is chainmail, and the elemental set is ringmail. For light armor, the physical set is studded, and the elemental set is leather. Armor can be both augmented and enhanced.
Armor Classes
Armor in the lands of Vitaveus are organized under three different classifications: Light, Medium and Heavy. Your choice in what class or combination of classes that your character will adorn requires many different factors to consider.
Recent revisions added modifiers to armor sets: each piece of light armor worn has a +4% damage bonus factored in every form of attack the player character is able to inflict, while every piece of heavy armor worn imposes a -4% damage penalty. These bonuses/penalties are considered before going through the opponent's resists in the final calculation.
