The Frontier Herald was first issued in 1346 AS by local enterprise Renatus and Thrupp. Through shrewd, contentious negotiation, they worked out a deal with the Foundry to use their printing press at a diminishing cost with the intention to break free from the Foundry’s chokehold as they grew in wealth and notoriety.

All the while, a litany of other happenings around the First Province plagued Renatus and Thrupp causing insurmountable tensions with other factions in the Province, and the tale of the late-editor ended violently.

The Foundry seized the opportunity to buy out their budding competitor from the surviving members of the company, and have held the property ever since. There are three full time reporters who staff the Herald.

Under the current editoriship - so long as you don’t speak ill of the Republic, or wish to print anything heretical, they are lenient with what is printed. Rumor has it the editor was put in place against her will, only accepting the job because she knew if it wasn’t her, it would’ve been their propagandist.

The Foundry will not tolerate the publishing of any heretical or anti-Republic rhetoric, nor be responsible for the material printed otherwise - any grievance against a written article rests solely on the reporter.

Pen names and aliases will only be granted at the discretion of the Editor. We will not accept anonymous contributions or unverified submissions without setting a meeting with the Editor to establish an explanation.

Frequency of print will be based on time-sensitivity of the articles.

As the sole owners of the Frontier Herald, the Foundry holds the right to change the above conditions at their discretion and without notice.

The editor of the paper reserves the right to edit submitted articles to conform with public standards.

Any enterprise wishing to place advertisements may do so at the cost of 10 copper per word.

Contributions will be compensated based on content with priority and preference given to routine contributors.

Priority will go to time-sensitive material, and after that it will be first come first served.

In the event multiple articles are submitted regarding the same subject, preference will be given to the contributor with the most influence over the paper (see below charts) All other material priority will be given to time sensitive subjects, and after that articles will be slotted on a first come first served basis.

Any Contributor of an article will be rewarded 5 Legacy Points at the time of print

Submissions are tallied and the paper will take into consideration contributors who help make the paper money and provide more benefits. Influence is tallied by looking back at the last six months from the paper issued to determine the Tier of Influence of a contributor:
